I’m in my early forties and have a regular day job. Painting is something I have always wanted to come back to.
When I was younger, I painted with oils for a short time, but then life became busy and I stopped. I never really forgot about it though. The wish to paint has stayed with me all these years, and lately I’ve been thinking that maybe now is the right time to start again.
I absolutely adore the Old Masters and can spend hours looking at their portraits. I would love to understand how they created such beautiful art. Portrait painting is what attracts me most and I hope one day I can become skilled enough to paint portraits on commission.
It would mean a lot to me to turn painting from a forgotten dream into a real part of my life.
