I was a fanatical musician the 3-years ago and I had a very bad stroke which stop me playing music he mostly I became very depressed and then my brain seem to take me on the route of painting I feel like I’m so far on my own I’ve done 15 pictures I have enjoyed teaching myself well I do feel now that I could benefit from all the techniques I’m fascinated by the fact that these people old artists who’s very different paint techniques that we do such as mixing powders together
I guess my artistic challenges are then I’m trying to or was achieved something
What’s my challenge I started out to in water painting colour then acrylics and now I’m attempting oil which is not easy
I believe that old Masters academy would benefit me greatly I am obviously a pensioner I’m 71 years old but I’m still raring to go although now and running out of ideas I love to study and I love to learn
I’d like to win the Old Masters academy course it will give me some reason to carry on it seems now since I’ve lost my music I have to have something and seems to be the one of the best things to achieve
I spend a lot of time trying to teach myself fascinating fascinated achievement of the old Masters academy and the paintings then I’ve seen
The picture that I’m going to put in came from many sketches it’s a picture of the lion in Alexandra Palace originally it was meant to be a zoo and the lion was going to be by evidence scrap that idea
And the poor old lion it’s in a cupboard then they got it out again and it gives a lot of kids a lot of joy and I thought what a great painting to do do with all the perspective and the angles
