Art takes up one of the biggest places in my life. It is not just something I do occasionally—it is something I genuinely care about and want to keep improving at for the rest of my life. I love the process of turning what I see into something I can create with my own hands. My submitted artwork is a still life painting, and I especially enjoy the challenge of observing ordinary objects and bringing them to life through colour, light, and form.
When it comes to challenges in art… honestly, almost everything can be a challenge for me! Choosing the right colours, drawing accurately with correct proportions, creating a good composition, and making creative decisions are all things I constantly have to work on. Sometimes I know what I want a painting to look like, but getting it from my mind onto the canvas exactly the way I imagine it is another challenge.
I want to learn the fundamentals properly and improve in every area of art—from proportions and drawing to composition, colour, values, and everything else that helps turn an idea into a successful painting. I don’t expect perfection overnight, but I want to understand the principles behind good art so that I can keep improving and eventually create paintings that feel truly complete and correct.
I think Old Masters Academy could help me with this because I have been watching your YouTube channel and learning from your videos. I find the way you explain artistic concepts easy to understand, and I believe your courses could give me the structured knowledge and guidance I need to improve further.
I would love to win the Old Masters Academy course because I genuinely want to enrol and learn from it. Having access to the full course would allow me to strengthen my foundations and work towards creating paintings with more confidence, knowledge, and intention. My goal is not simply to make one good painting, but to keep learning until I can look at a painting I have created and know that I gave it my best and understood what I was doing.
