My name is Aditya Aryan. I am a fine artist, writer, and explorer. But at the center of everything that I pursue, art is the pulse of my life. It is the one place where I see truth, beauty, and liberation, and where I am able to say things that words usually fail to express.
Art, for me, is not a vocation or an avocation—it is my raison d’être. It is the culmination of my inner world and the outer world. It is the vehicle by which I navigate life, culture, spirituality, and history, and by which I envision leaving a legacy that transcends mortality.
But my artistic journey has not been smooth sailing. I am confronted with the challenges of time, resources, and juggling various responsibilities. Sometimes, I get lost in between the burden of survival and the calling of creation. But no matter how difficult things get, art always beckons me back—it keeps reminding me who I am.

I desire to study the mastery of techniques used by the Old Masters—how they layered, composed, and told stories in paint. I feel that in mastering these age-old skills, I will not only develop as an artist but also continue a tradition that must never end.
I believe the Old Masters Academy is a precious and unique gem for artists today. It holds centuries of wisdom and provides lessons that contemporary art education tends to neglect. It gives form and inspiration to artists such as myself, who desire to develop from discipline as well as from passion.
I wish to win the Old Masters Academy course because for me it represents a one-time opportunity to hone my craft, uncover fresh depths in my practice, and unlock the capacity to convey my ideas with the clarity and force of the Old Masters themselves.
Individuals should vote for me because I embody persistence and commitment. My story is not one of mere talent but of the strength to hold on to art amidst adversity. Your vote means voting for someone who will continue to learn, impart, and create—a committed artist working to leave an enduring legacy.

Chaliya is my visual representation of Krishna—the eternal vagabond, the divine flute player, and the personification of love, wisdom, and playfulness. In this painting, I wish to represent not just the beauty of Krishna but also the depth of his meditative stillness. The color play represents both divinity and humanity, urging the onlooker to perceive Krishna not as a distant deity but as a homely presence within us. This work is infused with my commitment and my struggle to merge spiritual essence with the methods derived from the ageless method of the Old Masters’ approach to light, form, and emotion.
