This is a portrait of a friend of mine. The story is that he liked a portrait I made for another friend of ours so I decided to surprise him by taking a pictures of everyone in the room where we were at, to make sure there was no suspicion on his part, then went home and painted him. I gave it to him on a trip I made later to his house, he, his wife and daughters were delighted at the resemblance, one of his daughters said “that is definitely a keeper”, which was a very nice complement to me.
I will not be telling people I know to vote for me, I understand this may not be the best strategy but, I rather have people I don’t know judge my work, if its good great, if not I know I need to improve.
