… Technique is crucial to all Art. As a tool, which should so natural that it is not a presence in itself, but which serves to make the spirit of the artwork visible.
To learn and to understand the techniques of the Old Masters (build-up, composition, colour, glazing etc.) would give me the tools to greatly enhance my artistic vocabulary and help me attain the freedom I now miss. What I would love to achieve with this course, is to paint with more grace and ease, to explore a new realm, enabling me to expand my world and in so doing give beauty back to the world in which I live! …
