My name is Amarilis Rodríguez, I am 55 years old. I was born in Guatemala City and as long as I remember, I have always loved to draw but really did not have the time to dedicate myself to learn. All drawing instruction I had was from primary and high school art classes. Later in my life I enrolled in free courses, beginning Calligraphy online courses, lettering and aquarelle courses. Finally, I enrolled a drawing academy where I had to copy certain things at the academy and I was only allowed to draw three hours per week, so I did not advance much.
Then, three years ago, I enrolled another institution where I began to learn about perspective, figure drawing, portrait, aquarelle, oil painting, etc., but did not really deepen in any subject, just a brush up on every subject. I also took about five or six courses on different subjects in Domestika, mainly portrait and figure drawing, from which I learned a lot, buy still lack solid foundation and continuity to really pursue an important improvement in art and drawing skills and techniques.
I think that if I could have a one-to-one follow up to my work, and more significatively from expert teachers like the Old Masters Academy, the improvement would be really significant. I have been watching and trying to follow some of the free videos from the Old Masters Academy, but those samples are not enough to understand the subjects completely, there are some gaps on the information that are fundamental to completely understand the subjects taught.
For me it would be a dream come true to enroll your Old Masters Academy, which I found on Internet in search of old academy instructors. I am convinced that without solid foundations on drawing skills and techniques, one cannot improve in drawing and painting. I think that you should vote for me because I would really take advantage of this opportunity I have always been looking for.
