Painting has been a lifelong passion of mine, something I returned to whenever I could between raising my son and working. Recently, I’ve finally had the opportunity to dedicate more time to it, and my goal now is to paint every day. I aspire to make a living through my art and eventually reach the level where I can exhibit and sell my paintings in a gallery.
Online resources have helped me grow tremendously, but my learning has been fragmented and without direct feedback. I understand how invaluable it would be to work with a knowledgeable teacher who can guide my development with clarity and structure. The possibility of winning a contest with Old Masters Academy truly excites me.
What do I hope to learn? As much as possible, especially the areas where my knowledge is still lacking. Glazing, in particular, has been a significant challenge. Artistically, I am drawn to classical painting methods and wish to master the techniques of the Old Masters while also becoming more efficient in my process. My natural inclination is toward realism, which is why the Old Masters Academy feels like the right place for me.
Living in an area without access to regular in-person instruction makes structured online training even more important. I am confident that your Academy offers the solid foundation and serious training I seek. Time feels precious, and the opportunity to deepen my skills now would mean a great deal to me.
