I am finally able to paint what I have envisioned

Artwork by Robin Oliver

… I am certified in Scientific Illustration and have recently completed an Associates degree in Graphic Design, though these are merely tools and methods, they will not take me where I need to go without the soul power found in the depth, elegance and lavish detail utilized by the Renaissance masters. …

… The knowledge that you offer in your Old Masters Academy course would allow me to endow my paintings with a more robust sense of realism, to create a visual space which the viewer could almost enter and also act as a door way through which I can finally pass and find myself in the long awaited companionship of the of the blue moon.

I loved the idea of being able to learn the “techniques of the masters using modern materials”

Artwork by Helen Wessels

… I studied Clinical Dietetics at a reputable Medical School, all the time hoping that “one day” I would be able to live the big dream: Creating masterpieces that can be shared with generations to come. …

… I stumbled upon the Old Masters’ Academy a few weeks ago. My heart raced! Could this be it? Could this be the guidance I was waiting for, could this be the open door? I loved the idea of being able to learn the “techniques of the masters using modern materials”. Also the idea that the course videos could be studied at one’s own pace, as well as the life-long access to the course materials. As a bonus, I could even be in contact with a real-life artist to guide me through!

I want to learn how to create masterpieces that can last forever, without fading, that could be enjoyed and inspire generations to come.

On the path of the Old Masters

Oil Painting by by-Adejean-Cardoso

Hello! My name is Adejean, I’m from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. At the moment I’m BS Pharmacy student but always in love with arts (not only drawing and painting, but also music, cinema and theater).

Art is an essential and very special friend in my life. Since I remember I’m very connected with art since childhood, but just now I decided to take it seriously and start to study everything that I could in classical arts. The old masters works are certainly the main inspiration and objective that I have.

My major challenges are in color theory and composition. I already noticed that a minimum mistake in these subjects can destroy all the composition. I’m doing my best studying everything that I can. …
