I am Margo Didden, 60 years old, living in Holland as a freelancer personal coach, freestyle art painting coach and Shiatsu massage practitioner. I love my job! I attended art school in painting, graphics, and theatre design. After that, I continued to attend freestyle, life-drawing and portrait painting workshops. My big wish is to improve my portrait, life drawing/painting ability, based on a more classic approach like offered by The Old Masters Academy, concerning drawing and painting skills, use of paint, use of colors. I consider it as a lifelong objective to continue learning, just like the apprentices of the old days. I am very inspired by the old masters, and for that purpose The Old Masters Academy really inspires me too! So I would love to win the course!!
Art of the nude and portrait can show the mirror of the soul. To catch that glimpse behind the face and posture makes art precious and something to develop more, to enhance expression in every possible way. Art as an expression, to me, is very important. It has been since I was a child and will continue to do so. It can express things that words cannot always say and this is what I really wish to enhance with this course.

People should vote for me because they might taste the joy I had to draw this person’s portrait, maybe they sense and enjoy the love I feel for this dear friend expressed in soft color. Or maybe they just enjoy art in every way and would like to stimulate people like me, in making art. It is what I personally enjoy when I teach freestyle art. When I can stimulate persons to express themselves more freely through drawing and painting, it enhances a very basic joy of living, for themselves but also for me. Art is a very direct way to share the joy and beauty of living. When I am voted for I may stimulate others even more and use the more classic approach in addition, that would be great. But for now, yes please vote for me because I love to improve my basics for painting and drawing for myself! thanks!
