I’m a 34-year-old painter who enjoys capturing the fleeting moments of life. I’ve dabbled in art since… I don’t know when! I have always enjoyed going to art galleries and museums just to look at the paintings and learn about their creation. I find the art of portraiture to be fascinating!
I am not schooled in arts, but have self educated in the hopes to learn from anyone / anything I can.
As far as artistic challenges: I have a few, and would love to conquer them! Learning how to properly design and execute an idea and commit it to paper / canvass is what I hope for.
I would love to learn more about form correlation, colour theory and application, perspective, etc… You are never too old to add to your skills!
Old Masters Academy is, in my opinion, ideal for me. From the level of interaction I have seen, this would be an asset for learning. Being that I have a full time employment, it would be very difficult for me to attend normal classes where I am from (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). The Old Masters Academy would be perfect for me, as I could study at my own pace.
Winning the Old Masters Academy course would help me achieve better understanding of what theories / mechanics / applications I could put toward my artistry.
Being that I am an artist, regardless of proficiency, I think the regular everyday person would like, as I would, to keep trying to improve in what they enjoy best… Being an artist and free-thinker
