My calling

I am a wife and mother of three children. I began painting five years ago. Through my personal study I discovered the Classical Atelier. I currently work full time as a grammar school teacher and fine art instructor at the Buffalo Creek Boys School. I have not had the opportunity, yet to attend an academy or receive professional training in my work.

I have taken one 4 part class by Charles Miano online and have studied the textbooks written by Juliette Aristides. I recently was accepted in the Graduate school at the Florence Academy of Art and am tentatively scheduled to travel to Florence next summer and study for six weeks at the academy(next three summers). This is a dream come true and I have worked very hard to get to this point in my study. As a mother and wife working full time, it is extremely difficult finding the time to train and complete my artwork. I am always hungry for the opportunity to work with a professional artist, especially for critiques and guidance.

I have had Juliette Aristedes critique my work along with Adair Payne another artist I admire. Financially, my family can not afford to pay top dollar for art school although we are saving for my course at Florence.

Beginning classes with the Old Masters Academy would be extremely helpful in regard to receiving the best teaching from a seasoned artist along with helpful critiques and accountability. The program is rich in content and teaches the fundamentals I want to harness and master. I want to win the free course because I cannot afford the cost of the total course. I am a student who would benefit greatly from your instruction. My schedule is full, I don’t have time to waste. I want to be the best I can be. Your course will help me grow exponentially, and fill the gaps.
