Artwork by Nataliya Kashubina
From early childhood I did draw a lot, I was drawing everything I saw. I never had any chance to achieve my dream. That’s why I became an engineer, after manager and then the housekeeper. A few years ago I did remember about the main dream of my life and started with a pencil.
I love the graphics for expressiveness and conciseness. Also, I try to work in oil. But I feel like a blind kitten. I can stay hours in front of great paintings in museums, looking at every inch of canvas and one thought bothers me: “Well, how could they paint like that?” My dream is to work in the technique of the old masters and have clear viewing and understanding how to paint a picture.
I have few copies of paintings in the technique of old Dutch masters made by myself. I would like to learn old techniques and drawing of people. I want to get a holistic education and, finally, to see the light. I do think the Academy of Old Masters is the best way for my dream to become true. That is why I want to win the course of the Old Masters Academy.
I want to be voted for me because in each of us lives a child who would like his dreams to come true.
My painting is free copy based on the artwork of Barend Cornelis Koekkoek “Summer wooded landscape with a castle”
