I have been a professional glass maker and restorer all of my professional life and love every moment of it.
As a child and as student I had some training in painting and I worked with passion with some interesting results. My professional life then took the turn I mentioned and left behind drawing and painting and remember telling my self I would resume later in life when able to be more focused and calm,I was a very active man when a young adult and being in restoration sites all around Europe made it hard to have a life as an artist as well.
I resumed oil painting in 2017 and it was like reuniting with a dear old friend and the promise I made my self in my 20’s has come.
Art gives me that calmness and introspection I longed so much and so far I can see that all is coming back despite some technical difficulties I come across and try to correct.
In the digital era the web offers and incredible platform for learning inexistent when I was at college and I’m sure even my instructors at the time didn’t have the skill base one encounters on the web.
Old Masters Academy course seams to offer exactly what I need to fill the gap where I lack knowledge and the prospect of entering the course is very rewarding.
I’m not a young man looking and hoping to have a fulfilling life as a professional artist, and even if my skill base as a restorer gives me confidence I like to think I have all the numbers to be out there as a professional painter my self.
