Art, as much as every kind of knowledge, is an internal and eternal processing…

As far as I remember, I loved to paint. Figures and portraits mostly and sometimes landscapes. Art was not a way to earn a living according to my family though, so I followed totally different paths. I studied Education and Sociology, had a family, moved a lot through Greece.

9 years ago I settled down to a beautiful small town by the sea, at western Greece. Here I decided to start painting, since I never gave up my dream all these years. Having no teachers at all troubled me a lot. For example I didn’t know there was such a thing as “medium” to help me apply my thick Titanium white on canvas! I had to re-invent common methods and techniques, spending precious time and effort.

When I discovered art sites and videos on Web, I was ecstatic watching all the fascinating artworks by so many talented artists. But still, I couldn’t figure out HOW to paint like this. What I really want to do for the rest of my life, is to learn as much as I can about art, to practise painting and be able to imprint on canvas the beauty around me, to depict myths and fairytales convincingly.

I consider Old Masters Academy as the boost I need to find the answers I seek, to learn classic techniques and to have from now on a valuable guidness to my effords. I strongly believe that these courses, as well as Anatomy Master Class are absolutely necessary for me in order to achieve my goal.
