I would LOVE to paint like the Old Masters

35 years ago I was a young aspiring artist. Life’s challenges got in the way and my passion for creating art was lost inside of me without a knowing of how to be released.

Over the last few years I attempted to create art in many different mediums. It was when I discovered oil painting that I felt as if I had come home. I can not describe the joy I feel when I am painting on a canvas with oil paints. The art is pouring out of me. All the years without creating seems to be coming out all at once.

I did attend art school for one year many, many years ago. Otherwise I am a self taught artist.

I am a young artist and I have just kick started my art career.

Modern art schools do not have proper techniques and I would love to learn the techniques in Old Masters Academy course. Art takes a serious place in my life, basically it is my everything.

My challenges are when people think that I am not a serious artist. I am also financially unstable and I cannot afford this course.

I struggle with proportion and anatomy. People enjoy my artworks but for me I am personally not happy with the outcome. I am simply having a hard time teaching myself. I want to learn the techniques of the Old Masters taught by Natalie Richy because I want to have a more expanded knowledge of art and I am a huge follower of Natalie. …

The story that was never told

Art to me was a place to express my self at first until I realized it was more than that to tell a story. They say a picture is worth a thousand words well I need to paint a thousand paintings to get the this one story out.

Most of my artistic challenges come from the lack of knowledge or help because I am mainly self taught. I hope and will learn the mysteries behind the art the way the masters crafted such pieces. I always wanted to be able to draw and paint , and now at the age of 53 I got my first easel and finally started.

Art has always been a big part of my life, back in Moscow I would stand in line for hours to see the paintings from museums I thought I would never be able to visit. Now I am lucky to be able to visit art museums all over the world. I attend every exhibition and every art event in my home town.

Seeing works of art , especially old masters brings me joy. I really want to be able to copy some of my favorite paintings and paint the beauty of nature I see every single day.

Retired disabled but never busier with kids and grandchildren, art is my only distraction from such a busy life, at first I wanted to become a Picasso but after a class with an Russian teacher my life changed.

I have been drawing seriously since I was three years old, and have been engrossed in art all my life.

I have had my drawings win awards and go on tour during my high school years in Canada. I started painting in my early twenties, and have continued to do so on and off for the past thirty years.

Over the last years, I have wanted to learn to oil paint. There are no classical oil painting instructors or courses where I live. For the most part, I’m a graphic designer
Until . . . I found your tutorials. I was enthralled straight away.

After participating in the Web Art Academy Course , I have made significant progress in color coordination, portraiture, which is my favorite. I love the classic oil paintings, the colors really attract. I am amazed at what I have painted, and it’s all down to you, your enthusiasm and clear instructions are what gave me the confidence, and got me going.

The whole experience at the Web Art Academ has very much been a transformative journey not only in terms of my art but also within myself.
