Hi , I’m Anna and I have been an artist for over 40 years. Art to me is not just a passion, it’s me, it’s the way I think, feel and express myself. I put my heart into art, and it truly is my therapy. I have been instructed in commercial art, and some fine art.

Many years back, I had the opportunity to be introduced to the painting style of the old masters, and fell in love with the different techniques to produce depth.

I KNOW I CAN LEARN TO PAINT

Hi, I am a determined focused woman who wants to paint strong sensual women. I have NO “natural” talent, and am finding it hard to learn to draw…but I know I can LEARN–I have taken lots of weekend workshops and gone to life drawing, but it is just not quite happening…I think this might be the answer.

I want to learn to make the pictures in my head come to life on the canvas.

I want to get better

Me. Charmaine Barber. Age 56. I am not a shallow person and can be over-sensitive or go the other way and am hurtful without realising. Life is a challenge and art takes very little place in my life at the moment. I want it to have more place but I’m self-employed and sell Polish pottery instead.

I grew up in a caravan and then in a children’s home and then was left to my own devices. I tried to commit suicide. Not what I wanted or needed in my life. Several other things happened to me which I won’t go into detail about as they affect other people in my life. Then I managed to stop crying after 20 years and started to get my life straight after an extremely hard episode.

I have taken on the challenge of running a half marathon for the first time in my life. I am doing it for a friend who died of motor neurone disease in 2015, she was only in her mid forties. I’ve only started running in October last year. …

My name is Elena, and I’m from Moscow. My way to the art was very long. When I was a children, I liked to draw very much. And in school and then in the university I was drawing from time to time. But it was never serious, just for having pleasant time.

Though at the beginning I sold two of my works. Then almost 10 years I didn’t draw at all. And in 2011, when my baby had near 2 years, I found an art-studio and met a wonderful teacher Nikolai Pavlov, who taught me painting and the basics of academic drawing.
