Old Masters Academy course student Daniele Poltronieri

Hello I’m Daniele from Italy, 67 years old, I’m a graphic designer and professional photographer, worked all my life in advertising, communication and teaching computer graphics for Apple Computer and for the most important publishing company here in Italy. …

… Few years ago I discovered, Old Masters Academy and finally found what I needed. Now I teach also how to paint and I always suggest to enrol in your classes coz so many information can be learned as well.

I think the course is really good and complete and can can help anyone, even professional painters can learn new and important techniques and information. I like to paint in old masters style, and I love to make copy of their artwork and now with your classes I can enjoy painting a lot .…

I want to be able to paint daily

Artwork by Dona

I have painted my whole life whenever I could between raising my son and work. Recently, I have been able to do painting again but I still want to be able to paint daily. I dream of painting for a living and get to a place where I can sell paintings in a gallery. …

… Artistically I want to learn classical painting like the old masters and get faster. I do tend to be more realistic in my approach which is why I am looking into the Old Masters Academy. Where I live doesn’t allow me to find any teachers nearby that I can learn from on a regular schedule.

I know I will get solid training with your Academy. I don’t have many years left to paint so this would be wonderful.

Amazing course! Old Masters Academy review by Pauline

Old Masters Academy course student

… A year ago I began studying this wonderful course. I read and listened over and over again all the art lessons and art history. I was overwhelmed by all the information and precision of the art lessons. So much to learn and practice. Let me tell you, I was pretty scared. I had a lot of work ahead of me, but I enjoyed it so much.

Even if I’m retired, I am a very busy lady. I took my time and went through nearly all of the lessons and did the exercises. My goal was to paint a portrait in the style of the 16th century. …

… A happy member and student of the Old Masters Academy.

A reborn passion

Artwork by Leonard Nolan

… In the digital era the web offers and incredible platform for learning inexistent when I was at college and I’m sure even my instructors at the time didn’t have the skill base one encounters on the web.

Old Masters Academy course seams to offer exactly what I need to fill the gap where I lack knowledge and the prospect of entering the course is very rewarding. …

It is never too late – Painting at the age of 71!

Ivo, the Old Masters Academy student

My name is Ivo Bulicic, age 71, now finally enjoying enough quality time to revert to my ever-lasting passion-painting. My carrier of Master of Electrical/Mechanical engineering, as it could be expected, has not been an inviting environment for practicing necessary techniques, nevertheless I’ve been striving as much as I could. I am now happy to be able to advance into more complex techniques and knowledge. …

How to Draw like the Old Masters

What we can learn from Raphael

This year, the World commemorates the 500th anniversary since the death of one of the great masters of the High Renaissance in Italy – Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, whom we simply know as Raphael.

This March, I was very fortunate to visit one of the biggest and best of all the events in Italy – the Raphael Exhibition at Rome’s Scuderie del Quirinale where there were displayed over 200 works of art.

In this short video, you can see how I make a quick sketch at this exhibition.
