I want to learn more techniques that the old masters used

… Work has been a challenge when I want to make time for art, now being self employed I have time!
I want to learn more techniques that the old masters used! I want to be confident to do portraits, and do one of each of my children and grandchildren.

I really want to win so I can take my art to a higher level. the Old Master Academy results look amazing and I want this!

… One of my dreams is to be a painter like Van Gogh in the future. So I am really interested in learning the techniques of his paintings and other impressionist painters such as Paul Signac, Maurice Prendergast, Andre Derain and Monet.

I think the Old Master Academy is one useful website to help people like me to learn the right patterns of original painting as well as meet the right people in this category. I am happy to visit this website to develop my abilities.

I am a lover of nature and my favorite activity (after making art) is hiking in the woods near my home.

I draw a lot of inspiration from the woods and creek near my house and have painted many scenes from the park. I have drawn and painted most of my life. I have been a graphic designer throughout my professional career and owned a graphic arts studio for many years. My subjects run the gamut, but I love portraiture and landscapes the most.

My landscapes often include trees and the trees often exhibit human qualities. I have recently taken several life drawing classes and find that I approach my drawings of the human body as landscapes.

I’ve mostly been a self-taught artist until very recently and I’m currently looking for oil painting teachers and ateliers in real life and I would love to have access to all of Old Master Academy’s resources. I feel like I have come to a point in my journey where I need guidance to improve even further.

My biggest struggle when it comes to art is time. I constantly feel like I’m in a race against time, against myself. I go through stages of painting 8-10 hours a day, and then not even touching a pencil for weeks. I am trying to change this by giving myself a more rigid schedule. …

I was a fanatical musician the 3-years ago and I had a very bad stroke which stop me playing music he mostly I became very depressed and then my brain seem to take me on the route of painting I feel like I’m so far on my own I’ve done 15 pictures I have enjoyed teaching myself well I do feel now that I could benefit from all the techniques I’m fascinated by the fact that these people old artists who’s very different paint techniques that we do such as mixing powders together

I believe that old Masters academy would benefit me greatly I am obviously a pensioner I’m 71 years old but I’m still raring to go although now and running out of ideas I love to study and I love to learn …

… When I was young I wanted to draw and paint like the old masters, but unfortunatelly that school was “outdated” (I was told).
Hence, not having really where to learn I did some self studies, mainly from books.
Now that internet is here, I realize my old dream of drawing and painting figuratively is alive and kicking.
The Covid obliged us to stay home and change some of our plans. Because of that I took some courses that would enhance my drawing abilities.

My desire is to make a living out of painting and serving the world with my art.
